Chevron boss calls for teamwork over onshore restrictions

The boss of Chevron Australia has urged the country to work together and find a common goal for the management of the country’s energy resources.

Chevron Australia Managing Director Nigel Hearne made the comments when asked about overcoming the opposition to hydraulic fracturing at an Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) event in Perth yesterday.

According to The West Australian, Mr Hearne said, “To have a resource-rich country that has some of the highest energy costs at certain locations is not responsible.

“What we’ve got to do is get some common ground and act responsibly.
