Report outlines NT’s energy future


The Scientific Inquiry into Hydraulic Fracturing in the Northern Territory has released ACIL Allen Consulting’s independent economic impact assessment of a potential onshore unconventional shale gas industry in the Northern Territory.

Natural gas already generates more than 90 per cent of the Northern Territory’s (NT) electricity, and LNG is the NT’s largest export.
