Carbon pricing mechanism to add cost to LNG exporters

In response to the official commencement of the Federal Government’s carbon pricing mechanism on 1 July, the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) Chief Executive David Byers has said that the carbon pricing mechanism represents an addition to the cost structure of Australian LNG exporters competing in global markets.
